Stephen Chiu
Director, Global Treasury, World Vision

Stephen Chiu has led strategic management, operations, finance/treasury, and partnerships/business development initiatives within global development, housing finance, healthcare, and management consulting. At World Vision (a $3B NGO operating in 100 countries), he currently directs the Treasurers and Insurance Roundtables (networks at the intersection of global development, treasury, and insurance/risk management); directs strategic advisory and educational services to NGO management; and oversees innovative emerging technology/blockchain efforts. Previously at World Vision, Stephen led public-private partnerships in agriculture/food security, managing cross-sector teams that crafted 100+ partnerships across 22 developing countries. In addition, he oversaw financial operations of $120M in corporate, foundation, government, and private funding across 36 countries in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, performing strategic planning, resource planning/allocation, financial planning/analysis, and operational integration.
Prior to World Vision while in the commercial sector, Stephen focused on corporate strategy at Fannie Mae and strategy consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Perot Systems. He has sat on advisory councils, boards, and planning committees for Humentum, the Association for Financial Professionals, A Bridge for Children, and the Leadership & Legacy Foundation. Stephen is the founder/president of the Harvard Alumni for Global Development. Stephen received his A.B. at Harvard and M.B.A. at UC Berkeley/Haas, and received fellowships from the International Career Advancement Program and Robert Toigo Foundation.
