John Borrazzo
Lead Advisor, Child Health, Save the Children
I have worked in global health for 32 years - 26 years at USAID, 3 years at the World Bank, and now nearly 3 years at Save the Children. My career at USAID was an arc of progressively increasing responsibility, from starting as a technical advisor in environmental health to leading the USAID Global Health Bureau's work in maternal and child health. I left USAID to work at the Global FInancing Facility of the World Bank, to learn more about multilateral institutions and a different donor model than that of USAID. Now I work on implementation at Save the Children, particularly at country level (even if largely from afar). Throughout, I have been fortunate to be part of mission-driven organizations and to be able to make a living pursuing my passion - helping create a world of equal opportunity for all children.
