Gabriel Laizer

Gabriel (Gabe) Laizer is the Congressional and Civil Society Outreach Partnership Officer at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Americas Liaison Office. He has over 15 years’ experience fostering strong partnerships among multilateral organizations, the private sector, NGOs, research and academic institutions in areas of food and nutrition security, agriculture and international development.
Prior to joining IFAD, Gabe worked at the FAO Liaison Office for North America where he was responsible for developing strategic alliances and outreach efforts to deepen, expand and improve partnership impact among FAO partners in North America.
Before joining FAO North America, Gabe served as Manager of Membership Services at the Alliance to End Hunger. In this capacity, he focused on expanding Alliance membership and resource mobilization and advised member organizations one-on-one on creating and strengthening partnerships based on available priorities and opportunities.
Gabe previously worked for Bread for the World, where he helped develop and implement Bread’s annual legislative campaign. He helped to mobilize a grassroots network of members, activists, and churches across the United States to advocate for changing policies, programs and conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist.
A native of Tanzania, Gabe has a master's degree in International Development from The American University in Washington, DC, and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from California Lutheran University.
